Echo NDE is currently seeking a QHSE Coordinator to support its quality and safety programs.

 

Reporting to the QHSE Director and HSE Manager, this position will be based out of the Red Deer office and is a full-time, temporary contract position for up to 18 months to provide maternity leave coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation and monitoring of safety and quality programs, controls, and performance measures.
  • Support the delivery and coordination of regional safety and quality training initiatives.
  • Assist with internal and external audit processes and support the maintenance of COR certification requirements.
  • Maintain contractor and supplier management platforms, including ISNetworld, Avetta, ComplyWorks, Ariba, and other applicable systems.
  • Organize and facilitate safety components of new hire orientations.
  • Identify required safety training and courses, coordinate scheduling, and follow up with technicians to ensure certifications remain current.
  • Schedule and coordinate required drug and alcohol testing in accordance with company and client requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to safety and quality training, near-miss reporting, certifications, policies, and procedures.
  • Update, track, and audit employee safety certifications and required NDT and visual inspection certifications.
  • Provide Safety and Quality Managers with accurate and timely information to support reliable safety and quality reporting and metrics.
  • Develop QHSE communications, reports, and presentations for clients, employees, and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with the review, revision, and ongoing improvement of the Safety and Quality Management System, including soliciting input from relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma; preference will be given to candidates with related post-secondary education and/or relevant QHSE experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and satisfactory Driver’s Abstract required.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision while effectively managing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong listening, questioning, and decision-making skills, with the ability to gather information and make informed decisions.
  • Commitment to understanding and ensuring compliance with applicable provincial Occupational Health and Safety Acts and Regulations, as well as Rockwood’s Safety and Quality Management Systems, policies, and procedures.
